Off to Westonbirt, probably
Morning all!
It is *bleep* freezing outside, but apart from the temperature the weather looks quite promising. Unless the weather changes I will be off to Westonbirt Arboretum later this morning. Meaning: Everyone else who was planning to go there please stay away. Don't want you running in front of my lense when I try to take pictures of the autumn colours.
For those of you staying at home and surfing the web, here's another eclectic collection of links:
- I think Stuart is just plain lazy. Moblogging from his sofa, three feet from his PC...
- Apparently interest rates are likely to rise. Well, not really. Only for borrowing probably. Somehow I have my doubts the banks would pass any interest rate rises on to savers as well.
- John Travolta to buy castle in Scotland? I just hope the locals will tell him to stop with the Scientology nonsense and stop him "to turn the site into a centre for Scientology". Wasn't Madonna looking for a place in Scotland? Better her than Scientology...
- How would you like your car to smell, Sir?
- The New York Times has a quite long comment on the Pew report about spam and e-mail. Quite interesting how people react to spam and get worked up about it, spending even more time to fight it. Which in turn annoys them even more. I've pretty much given up on it, at least at home my spam filters work quite well and the rest is a quick hit of the delete button. Why getting worked up about something I have little to no influence on? Even more ironic the people who stop (or reduce) use of e-mail and give out their phone number instead. Only to get SMS spam and telemarketer calls...
That's enough, off to enjoy the sunshine
