Holiday pictures 5

Well, and then the holiday was almost over. After a visit to the House for an Artlover tomorrow morning I will take my mother to Glasgow Airport from where she will fly back to Bremen (via London Gatwick). I will then leave for the long drive back to Swindon. Please stay away from the M8, M74, M6 and M5 tomorrow ;-)

Yesterday we first visited the Holy Trinity Church in Bridge of Allan, which has some very nice Chancel Furniture designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. From Bridge of Allan it wasn't very far to Falkirk, where we visited the Falkirk Wheel:

Unfortunately the tower was closed for repairs, so we couldn't enjoy the view over Glasgow. The afternoon was spent at Pollok Country Park where we visited The Burrell Collection. Among others some very nice sculptures by Rodin.

Normal blogging services will either return after I arrived home tomorrow evening (if I arrive early enough) or Tuesday evening (if I arrive too late and can't be bothered any more).
