Interesting: In Germany the president of the German Employers Association (BDA), Dieter Hundt, argues that people should work more/longer (sorry, link in German only). In particular compared to the US he claims Germans work 400 hours a year less. Strangely enough the movement in the US seems to start going the other way: There is a discussion about work-life balance, asking if people are working too much.
So what's right then? More work or less work?
