News Catch-up
Catching up on some of the news of the last few days:
- BusinessWeek Online asks if there is a WiFi bubble building. I think there possibly is, but then the WiFi market shouldn't really be much different than other new markets with a lot of startups trying to take a share of this market. Ultimately it should help the proliferation of WiFi, which I think will be fantastic.
- 802.11g standard to be finalised soon. Good.
- Business 2.0 laments the lack of usability testing for a lot of new products. So what does that button here do?
- The Herald praises the excellent behaviour of the Celtic supporters in Seville. When I was waiting for my flight to Greece earlier this week there was a huge group of Celtic at Heathrow: While they weren't very quiet, they were still extremely well behaved. I also noticed a Porto supporter sitting among them, having a good time with them.
- Happy Birthday Mrs. d'Abreu, 111 years old today!
- Sniff and be sucked in, that's the right message and treatment for midges.
Ok, I think that's enough catching up for now. May be more tomorrow.
