Memories

Scientists are developing new methods to help people bring back memories: Linking objects to digital media is one approach. An object (a seashell in their example) is put on a special scanner and then linked to various media (in this example it could be holiday videos and snaps, e-mails and audio recordings). When the seashell is then put on the scanner again the related digital media could be played. I don't think this can replace real memories, as for me these also mean feelings and moods, but I'm still intrigued by this idea. Let's see how this will look should it ever leave the labs.
