Russia Connection
Most internet users and in particular bloggers will probably have heard of the Nigeria Connection or 419 fraud. I usually receive several of them every week, usually claiming that they have money from an African dictator/ deceased business man/ widow of the before (delete as appropriate) to get out of the country. For good measure occasionally the odd Asian or Iraqi one is thrown in as well. But today I received the first Russian version of it:

Why do I have the funny feeling that Monica Salois doesn't exist? Could it be the dodgy spelling? Could it be that it sounds exactly like all the other mails? Could it be that it sounds too good to be true? (Get on with it! Ed.) The only question remaining is if these are the same African scammers trying a new tactic or if the Russians have finally picked up on it. (As if you really care... Ed.)
