Rent A German
Am I selling myself too cheap? Just look at the prices at Rent a German (via linkbunnies.org). From EUR 750 a day? That ridiculous, that's more like rip-off Germany! Those guys need some competition! Let me think, what am I willing to offer? I think here's what I should offer to the UK market, as I can't be bothered to get on a plane to fly somewhere:
- Let's say you live in a reasonable distance from Swindon, are English, would like to brag about 1966, 5-1 and all that. That's a free meal including drink and a if necessary a night in a decent B&B. I'll even promise not to mention who scored the last goal at the old Wembley.
- You're Scottish (preferably female and good looking) and would like me to apologise for Berti McVogts? No problem, I'll try to drop by next time I'm in Scotland (provided you don't live too far away from my route) and I'll do it for a wee dram (preferably an Islay Single Malt) and a smile.
- You're an Arsenal supporter and would like me to apologise for Bayern kicking Arsenal out of the Champions League? Sorry, no can do. But I'm happy to accept your apologies for Arsenal's failure to kick out Bayern. Just don't mention Werder Bremen. And that you sold Wiltord to Lyon.
