Walking on Islay
My sister just e-mailed me that she will have broadband installed in a week or so. That's good news, as it means she'll be able to download my panoramas much quicker. I've been busy and it's shameless plug time for the Scotland Summer 2004 travelogue again. There are several QuickTime VR panoramas from our first few days on Islay, some fairly big:
- We start with our arrival on Islay for which there is a panorama of Machir Bay (1.8MB download). Then we go hillwalking:
- Our first walk leads us to Proaig and McArthur's Head. This time there are two panoramas: A view over Proaig and McArthur's Head (1.5MB download) as well as a view of the Sound of Islay (1MB download).
- The second walk took us to The Oa with the American Monument. No QuickTime VR panorama of The Oa, but on the way back we stopped at Kilnaughton Bay (4.8MB download)
And as I'm on the topic of walking on Islay, the next WalkIslay walking week will be 16-23 Apr 2005. Some of the walks I heard about so far sound very interesting. Mark your calendars. I'm sure I'll blog about it again over the coming months, may be I can convince some of you to join me this time?
