Blogging in Scots
Yesterday I wrote I was going to try write an entry in Scots for the Language Week. I only have one problem now:
A canna think whit tae scrieve aboot! Mebbe fitba? Na. Mebbe whuskie? Big business apairt frae the wee independant distilleries. Mebbe cats? A dinna ken if this cat is Scottish (She steys at Strontian, Sunart).
I give up. And hope that grammar and vocabulary are at least partly right. I think I need to study my Luath Scots Language Learner a bit more to be ready for next years language week. Until then:
