- Why are so few foreign books translated into English? asks Rosemary Goring in The Herald. Interesting question, because much more is translated from English into other languages. And this is not restricted to books: I frequently find articles in the German magazines I read which were translated from English into German, but much less frequent the other way around (hardly ever, actually).
- Wireless Broadband Week - only of interest for anyone in the UK next week (and equipped with a WiFi enabled laptop). Free wireless internet access 26th Jan - 1st Feb. Unfortunately not too many hotspots participating here in Swindon.
- Hypochondriacs Dreams - a list of symptoms, the likely cause, and what they could be in worst case.
